CAD DESIGN: WHAT WE DO
UNIQUE ABILITY
We are proud to be one of a only very select few in the UK Jewellery industry who have the ability to sculpt realistic life forms.
Our main sculpting tool is the Claytools Phantom Omni Haptic Device, a 3D arm with force feedback, allowing us to create virtual clay models. We may subsequently transfer models into additional software packages in order to create interesting textures amongst other applications.

There are many advantages to using computer-aided design over traditional handmade jewellery techniques. Not only does it save money, but it also improves on the quality of the finish of the piece. Additional models can easily be printed in wax and cast, without having to take the trouble to make a time-consuming mould.
Renders from all different angles can be produced so that the client can approve the design and make any alterations before final production takes place. Also, weight and cost estimates can be generated from the CAD model, which are extremely helpful for pricing up models to the end-client.
Aside from our superlative level of craftsmanship, what differentiates us from others in the industry is that we are able to offer our clients the full suite of CAD services including sculpting and scanning, not commonly available elsewhere. Additionally, we are lucky enough to have three different prototyping machines, a 3d scanner and a number of different CAD design and rendering programs available to us depending on the requirements of a particular assignment.
MAKING THE IMPOSSIBLE POSSIBLE
At Gala Creations, we succeed where others fail. Nothing is too simple or too complex for our talented and experienced cad designers.
Keeping abreast of all the latest developments in this fast-moving industry is extremely important to us and ensures that we use the latest technology and techniques for our clients’ cad designs.

Using the best rendering programs that the market has to offer we can create renders almost as perfect as the real thing.
Rendering is usually cheaper than using traditional close-up photographers and avoids the need for expensive and time-consuming retouching. Additionally, it doesn’t even require the item to be manufactured to be pictured looking as real as the actual thing.
